Here is an update on some items.
This season we are scheduling 5 in person and 5 virtual meetings. As you may or may not know, the PIAA has reduced the meeting requirement for members this coming season. With 5 in person, and 5 virtual, you will be able to get your meetings in the way you feel most comfortable. I am scheduled to have a discussion tomorrow with the AD at Phoenixville to check on the status of meeting at PHS for our in person dates.
I will finalize the meeting schedule, including locations by early next week. There is at least one date that is currently listed on our website that will need to be adjusted.
An IN PERSON Interpretation Meeting and General Membership Meeting will occur on Tuesday, August 3rd. 7 pm. Location will be finalized and communicated to you.
Some committees have put time in this summer to work on some areas. If you have some time, would like to get more involved in any of these listed below, please reach out to me. We can really all benefit if we get a wider range of people involved. Please give some consideration of donating some ideas and time.
- Website Committee – Jake Volcsko
We need a back up to Jake, someone to help with ideas and helping post information. Some previous experience working with websites is preferred.
- Recruitment/Public Relations Committee – Joel Barrish Chair, Jack Barrish, Jake Volcsko
They met recently and brainstormed ideas. More work is planned, anyone is welcome to get involved.
- Awards Committee – Craig Gilinger, Chair
After a year’s absence, we plan on resuming our Awards program in 2021. Craig can use some ideas and help in working on the details and making our Chapter recognition program meaningful.
- By-laws Committee – Tom Drakeford and Mark Lockett Co-chairs
Tom and Mark are currently working on an update of our by laws. Please anticipate a review of and vote on a fresh re-write. More on this early in the season. The next step I anticipate is a posting of the document on our website for chapter review.
- Banquet Committee – Rick Falcone, Chair
Assisting Rick with related duties as needed.
Please check the PIAA website for information for the August PIAA Fall Season Virtual Convention. Registration is now open and the fee is $50. All the details are on the PIAA site.
