    From Pat Gebhart Good Afternoon, As continue to prepare for the 2021 fall sports season, PIAA wants to remind all officials of a few items: CONVENTION: As has been previously distributed, the 2021 PIAA Officials Convention in entirely virtual. Cost is $50. Officials must complete 2 general sessions and 3 sport specific sessions per sport you officiate with PIAA to gain attendance credit as it related to working inter-district playoffs. Do not delay in registering! You have until August 31st at noon to register and until midnight that same day to complete the fall sports portion.     The typical line-to-gain crew consists of at least three individuals – A DOWN-MARKER INDICATOR OPERATOR and two to hold the rods. Unless otherwise possible by use of a fourth crew member, the DOWN-MARKER INDICATOR OPERATOR will attach the clip as specified. In some cases where a fourth crew member is present, that member may also be requested to record penalties on a chart provided by the game officials.
